Lincoln businesses awarded for commitment to education

Some 12 businesses have been awarded for their dedication in supporting work experience and employability opportunities for young people in Lincoln.

The EBP’s annual Investors in Education Awards (IIE), held at the Lincolnshire Showground on November 8, recognised the commitment made by the business community to support the next generation.

A total of 24 Lincolnshire businesses were awarded.

Nominations were received for a wide range of businesses across many different sectors including education, retail, construction, animal care, engineering, healthcare and horticulture.

The winners were presented with their certificates by The EBP’s Chief Executive, Elaine Lilley, and Schools Administration Coordinator Kayleigh Wells, along with motivational speaker David Hyner.

Elaine Lilley, Chief Executive at The EBP, said: “Our work would not be possible without the support of the local business community, and we are delighted to celebrate employers that have gone above and beyond in supporting young people in Lincolnshire.
