Caffe Nero opened its third Lincoln shop in St Marks at the weekend.
The store is in the unit formerly occupied by Cafe M, an independent retailer that closed its doors in May this year.
The St Marks Caffe Nero features a new-style design, reflected also in the refurbishment of the High Street cafe.
Around 10 people have been employed at the new cafe, which opens from 6.30am until 7pm Mondays to Saturdays, and 8am to 6pm on Sundays.
Competitor Costa Coffee is situated two units down, while the Yeomans store next door has closed recently.
