The River Island clothing store on Lincoln High Street will be closed for a week while it moves into its new unit.
The new premises, two shops higher up the High Street, replaced the units previously housing Next and Sundance.
The men’s and women’s clothing brand will close on February 8, reopening in the new larger store on the 15th.
City of Lincoln planners approved the new premises in 2011. The two units next to Lloyds Bank were demolished to build the custom store in order for the brand to expand.

The new River Island is a three-storey, glass-fronted unit. The design aims to not take away from the neighbouring Lloyds, a Grade II listed building.
The applicant agreed to pay £6,838 towards improving the High Street and Cornhill areas of the city.
It also means River Island can expand its stock, offering more women and menswear and the new addition of children’s clothing.
The current store will remain open as usual until the closing date.
